Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. People/ Project Management
- Breakdown of overall targets / target setting (policy deployment)
- Conduct target setting and performance reviews (MAG)
- Coach team members/ employees, help them to overcome obstacles
- Actively support development of employees / successor planning
- Provide System, product and technical support to AA-BU/PUQ associates
- Enhance functional competence within the AA-BU/PUQ-CN and AA/PUQ-AP personnel
- Recruitment of new staff (definition of requirements, pre-selection, interviews, selection)
- Solve interpersonal and cross-functional conflicts
- Effective use of BU PUQ functions, service providers (if any) to meet targets
- Support to AA-BU/PUQ, AA/PUQ-AP
2. Planning / Controlling the Internal Processes
- Initiate, maintain/ review documented procedures (VA) for relevance according to Bosch guidelines, Central directives, Lead Plants VAs and necessary 3rd party certification (ISO 9001 or TS******) and customers’ QMS requirements
- Q Co-ordination of tasks with other functions at the location (Development,/ Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Production, Logistic etc…)
- Supplier Release process
- Product/ Part Approval process
- Implement the processes according to the VA documented procedures.
- Budget planning: Product, process testing expense, Participation/presentation/representation in inter/ intra departmental meetings
3. Supplier management
- Participate in supplier scanning, evaluation and selection
- Conduct Supplier Quality System/ Process audit (part of supplier release procedure)
- Verification of correction actions
- Develop supplier’s quality system/ processes to meet Bosch requirements
- Conduct and manage supplier enabling and supplier development projects
- Conduct Escalation management (TOP Offender projects)
- Preparation of supplier release letter for approval according to VA014
- Maintain supplier relationship
- Feedback of product performance (warranty) to all suppliers on bi-annually basis
- Feedback/monitoring of supplier performance (trace and track quality figures)
- Update into existing system
4. Product release
- Develop & establish product/component/ material testing test requirement & test plans to ensure quality to specifications
- Co-ordinate with internal & suppliers on product / component/ material test methods
- Preparation of ISIR for product approval according to VA141
- Warranty and product storage terms negotiation
- Conduct product/ component/ material audit regularly to maintain quality level
5. Organization Related Processes
- Identify and utilize scale effects / synergies between Lead Plant and other AA plants
- Enhance effectiveness of AA-BU/PUQ-CN organization
6. Other Functions / Tasks
- Signatures for investments, purchase/ service orders, leave- and travel-applications, invoices, expense reports
Position Requirements:
1. Education
- Priority 1: Tertiary Degree or Master in Quality Engineering
(only in combination with distinctive knowledge in manufacturing process/ mechanical engg)
- Priority 2: Tertiary Degree or Master in Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering
(with very strong Quality Assurance management background, see work experience)
- Priority 3: Tertiary Degree or Master in Production Engineering
(only in combination with strong Quality Assurance and technical background, see work experience)
2. Work Experience - Must Have
- Minimum 4 years experience in Production Quality Assurance management role within Bosch Automotive plant with reasonable high volume of mass production lot.
- Experience in personnel management, has lead a group / team of at least 3 employees with tertiary education (if Bosch internal recruitment, should be at least in LeaD program towards SL1)
Work Experience - Should Have
- Experience with TS******:2002, Bosch CDQs, Guidelines etc..
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, APQP
- International Exposure (with overseas lead plants)
Work Experience - Perfect Match
- Group-/Teamleader of a team with minimum 3 subordinates with tertiary degree within the Quality Assurance Department in a Bosch Automotive plant which had attained TS 16949:2002
3. Languages
- Mandatory: Proficient oral- and written communication in Chinese and English,
able to lead negotiations in Chinese and English
- Good to have: Knowledge of German
