Qualifications & Experience:
?A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Cognitive Science, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors / Ergonomics, Interaction Design, Industrial Design or in any other related field. An advanced / post-graduate degree would be preferred.
?Three or more years of industry experience as a hands-on Design Researcher. However, if you have had considerable experience as an intern in a product development environment we would like to hear from you.
?Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills. You must demonstrate the ability to document and present your analyses and recommendations in a compelling manner.
?The ability to conduct field research in other languages (in addition to English) is advantageous.
Scope of Responsibilities:
?As a design researcher you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing customer-focused information and then working directly with the product development teams to ensure that the voice of the customer is translated into successful product solutions.
?The research we conduct ranges from ethnographic studies to design validation. You will be expected to contribute at all levels. In your role, you will plan and conduct field visits and interact with customers and end-users.
?You will be required to document, analyze, and present your findings, and then work with the development teams to ensure successful implementation.
?Part of your role will be to work with our design research team to continually refine the tools and processes for conducting design research at Motorola.
